Station / Estación # 28: Chabacano

He pasado por Chabacano muchas veces y también he cambiado de tren varias veces aqui pero esto fue la primera vez que salí de la estación.

Más que nada lo que me llamo la atención era el arte callejero.

También hay un distrito de impresión y bordado.  La serigrafía es una especialidad de muchos de los negocios.

Aprendí que al parecer a Homero le gustan los tacos, cuando en México….

Unas vidrieras lindas también dan un toque bueno al distrito.

I have travelled through or changed trains at Chabacano many, many times but this was the first time that I ventured to the other side of the turnstiles.

It is the street art around the area that really caught my attention more than anything else.

There is also a busy printing and embroidery district with serigraphy a speciality of many businesses.

I learnt that Homer seemingly doesn’t mind a taco- when in Mexico…..

Some nice stained glass windows are a diversion as well.

Station / Estación # 27: Martin Carerra

Martin Carerra is an end of the line station.  There is yet more colour in the street but food was on my mind and the set meal for 40 pesos at ‘El Lechón’ did the trick.

Only fitting that at the end of the line you can shop for a coffin if you’re getting on to that end of the line.

Or book a holiday with the penguin at ‘Antartida Viajes’ and fly away.

It’s not advisable to drink the tap water in Mexico City which keeps the water delivery guys in business.

If you’re looking for some different water fun you could take a cue from one of the many stickers that I saw in one window and get yourself off to a water park.
If that doesn’t take your fancy then how about a Saturday Indigenous language class?  Nahuatl, Mixteco, Mazahua, Totonaca and Otomo are all on offer.

Martin Carerra es una estación del fin de la linea.  Hay aún más color en las calles pero lo que me preocupaba más era comida asi que comí la comida corrida de ‘El Lechón’ y me quedé satisfecho.

Al fin de la linea también puedes comprarte un ataúd si estas llegando al fin de la linea de vida.

O reservar tus vacaciones con el pingüino de ‘Antartida Viajes.’

No es recomendable beber el agua de la llave en la Ciudad de México que ayuda a los que se entragan agua a domicilio.

Si estas buscando otro tipo de diversión con agua podrías irte a uno de los parques de agua de que vi en pegatinas en una ventana.

Si eso no te antoja entonces qué tal una clase de idiomas indigenas el sábado?  Puedes eligir de Nahuatl, Mixteco, Mazahua, Totonaca y Otomo!  Órale!
