Cada estación y sus alrededores son lo que son, presentan lo que presentan.

Rasgos de personalidad tipicalmente atribuidos a humanos igualmente se aplican.  Algunas son pretenciosas y llamativas, ostentosas, audaces o presuntuosas.  Otras son miserables y hurañas.

La visita del MCM Project a Deportivo 18 de Mayo me dejó con la impresión que ella es una dama antigua y recatada.

Una capilla pequeña y pudorosa ha llegado clandestinamente a su lugar, al parecer contenta de estar afurea de la atención de la muchedumbre cercita visitando ‘La Basilica de Guadelupe.’

Station / Estación # 68: La Villa-Basilica

The elaborate sacred grounds of ‘Tepeyac’ constitute something of a religious wonderland.

Thousands daily, millions annually, flock to the site to visit the varios chapels, churches, cathedrals and basilicas making it one of the world’s most visited Catholic pilgrimage sites.

The centrepiece is the ‘Basilica of Our Lady of Guadelupe‘.

In the surrounding area you can buy all manner of religious paraphernalia.

The ‘Plaza Mariana’ is also part of the site, built by the foundation of the world’s richest man, Mexican Carlos Slim.

Today there was a dancing display with the participants wearing typical dress.

Right next to the station is a ‘Railway Museum’ with some old carriages on display.

El enorme ‘Recinto Sagrado de Tepeyac’ constituye un país religioso de maravillas.

Diariamente miles, anualmente millones, llegan al sitio para visitar las varias capillas, iglesias, catedrales y basilicas que lo hace uno de los sitios más visitados por peregrinos católicos.

La atracción principal es la ‘Basílica de Santa María de Guadelupe‘

En el área alrededor puedes comprar todo tipo de parafernalia religiosa.

La ‘Plaza Mariana’ también forma una parte del sitio, construida por la fundación del hombre más rico del mundo, mexicano Carlos Slim.

Hoy alli, había una muestra de baile con los participantes vestidos en trajes tipicos.

Justo al lado de la estación está el ‘Museo de los Ferrocarilleros’.
