Station / Estación # 9: Xola

I like Xola!

I had a good walk around there today and captured some interesting images;

a juxtaposition of cigarettes and nuts, some cool street art, a dilapidated building, cheesecakes in a bakery window, a vast assortment of second-hand shoes, friendly vendors of said shoes, a stereotypical image of a Mexican gent outside Taquería Fiesta, an interesting sticker on an apartment building and finally some vibrant, colourful flowers.

I also saw two guys cleaning public telephones which I thought was interesting but unfortunately I didn’t get a photograph.

Hoy hice una buena caminata alrededor de la estación y logré capturar unas imagenes interesantes;

una yuxtaposición de cigarros y nueces, un poco de arte callejera chida, un edificio de mal estado, unos cheescakes en la ventana de una panaderia, un surtido amplio de zapatos usados, vendedores amigables de dichos zapatos, una caricatura estereotipada de un caballero mexicano afuera de Taquería Fiesta, una imagen interesante por un edificio de apartamentos y una flores vibrantes y coloridas.

También vi dos tipos limpiando telefonos publicos que pensé que era interesante pero lamentablemente no saqué foto.

Station / Estación 4: Ecatepec

La estación Ecatepec ofrece fácil aceso a opciones de ejercicio y recreación.

Puedes ir a entrenar en el Gym Tauro.

O si prefieres puedes agarrar tu patineta y irte al skatepark.

Charlé con estos jovenes que estaban aprovechando de sus vacacciones.

También hay arte callejera para iluminar el lugar.

Ecatepec Station provides easy access to exercise and recreation options.

You can go for a workout at Gym Tauro.

Or if you prefer grab your skateboard and hit the skatepark.

I had a chat to these youngsters who were making the most of the school holidays.

There is some street art to brighten things up a bit too.
