Dado que el nombre de la estación es Refineria estaba medio esperando que iba a llegar a un lugar de pura industria pero he aprendido que el DF te puede dar muchas sorpresas.
Sal de la estación y te recibirán infantes ligeramente perturbados. Bueno, imagenes de ellos.
Pero lo que realmente destaca es el ‘Parque Bicentenario 2010’ -muy cuidado y increiblemnte espacioso.
Ahora que he visitado al parque puedo confirmar lo siguiente; cosplay sí existe en México, los paneles solares tienen sentido, Corea regaló una ‘Campana de Amistad’ de 900kg a México en 2010, hay un elefante construido completamente por botellas plásticas de agua, puede ser dificil tomar fotos de patos, es incómodamente húmedo en la casa del bosque tropical y VALE MUCHO LA PENA VISITAR!
With the name of the station translating to ‘Refinery’ I was half expecting to arrive in an industrial wasteland but I have learned that Mexico City has many surprises to offer.
Exit the station and you will be greeted by slightly deranged infants. Well, images of them.
Then there is the drawcard of a visit to the station- the immaculately manicured and incredibly spacious ‘Parque Bicentenario 2010’ (Bicentennial Park 2010).
Having visited the park, on a glorious Mexico City day, I can confirm the following; cosplay exists in Mexico, solar panels make sense, Korea gifted a 900kg ‘Friendship Bell’ to Mexico in 2010, there is an elephant constructed entirely from plastic water bottles, ducks can be difficult to photograph, it’s uncomfortably muggy in the tropical rainforest house, cacti and hip-hoppers contrast in many ways and IT IS WELL WORTH A VISIT!
